Introduction

Feasibility Studies & Surveys

By July 2019, 25 out of 43 feasibility studies were completed, focusing on ecological, environmental, social, and financial impacts. The remaining 10 surveys are expected to be completed by 2021-23.

Construction Timeline

The Bhadhut Barrage, a smaller but critical component of the project, is set to begin construction in 2020. Meanwhile, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Kalpsar Dam was planned to be completed by 2018, but no environmental or other clearances were obtained by that time. These processes are expected to be finalized before construction begins.
